API, SSO, & OAuth
Enhance your interface portfolio by opting to connect further in-house or external systems to our software via either API. Keen on data security? Then implementing SSO or OAuth is the way to go.
Internal or external systems via APIs
Connect internal or external systems to our software via one of the two APIs. Take advantage of the opportunity to securely connect your systems to Umbrella Faces via SSO or OAuth.
Profiles API (Sync API)
The HTTPS REST API is used to update single, individual profiles (eg. based on user input in an external system). It is used for receiving real-time profile updates from Umbrella Faces and can optionally also send profile updates to Umbrella Faces.
Single sign-on (SSO)
SSO is a session and user authentication service that permits a user to securely log in to any of various related, yet independent software systems with just one set of credentials. Umbrella Faces supports Identity Provider-Initiated Single Sign On using SAML 2.0 assertions.
Open Authorization (OAuth)
OAuth is a delegated authorization framework for REST/APIs that enables apps to obtain restricted access to a user’s data (only specific data authorized for the app) without giving away a user’s password.
Profile on Demand API (Pull API)
This API allows third-party applications to query profile information from Umbrella Faces after being authorized with OAuth2 authentication.
